The smiles we witnessed today, from both humans and canines alike, and the memories we created were better than any physical gift we could have asked for this holiday season. Thank you to all the residents and staff for welcoming us with open arms.
Bringing a new dog into your life is the beginning of the most fulfilling relationship you can have with another animal. Proper building of respect (not to be confused with human love) will form a bond between you and your dog that will last a lifetime. The following points are NOT reasons to get a dog. If you answer, "yes" to any of the below, you may need to take some time to rethink your decision. Be honest with yourself - you won't be able to fool a dog.
Robert and I have had a total of three weekends off together that allow us to be reclusive hermits with our personal pack of six dogs. The best part about these weekends, besides sleeping in, is that we all get to go to what we affectionately call "Church".
