BOARD & TRAIN

An evaluation is required before beginning a Boarding & Training program*

We do not use adverse tools such as prong and e-collars in our training.

Our Board & Train program is 24/7 hands-on training with our trainers—both dogs and humans—for your dog. The Boarding & Training program allows us to fully immerse unruly dogs into a world of structure, consistency, and purpose. Every Board & Train program is custom designed for each individual dog and owner’s goals, but generally dogs will learn to walk on and off leash, behave indoors/outdoors, be desensitized to nail trims, respect boundaries, recall on demand with distractions, and acquire basic obedience through both vocal and hand signals in a minimum of 1 week.

Dogs are our life.

When an untrained owner and a misunderstood dog try to work together, it often leads to confusion and frustration, which can impede or even halt training progress. Our Board and Train program is designed to be efficient and positive, without relying on adverse tools. By creating a consistently positive training environment, we ensure every moment contributes to your dog's development.

Dogs benefit from both human guidance and interaction with other canine teachers. As observational learners, dogs mimic behaviors they see in order to gain rewards. The Dogmata Pack helps accelerate training by exemplifying positive behaviors. When every dog in our pack respects boundaries, dogs who are accustomed to bolting through doorways will naturally adopt the group's behavior, learning to respect thresholds and modifying unwanted habits organically.

The adage “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” is only true when the human is unwilling to learn “new tricks”. At this age, negative behaviors are fully reinforced and successful counter conditioning requires consistent discipline (from both human and dog), along with patience. This canine boot camp will establish and reinforce:

  • mastering the walk

  • kennel training

  • basic obedience (indoors & outdoors, on & off leash)

  • rehabilitation of dominance, fear, stress, and/or anxiety

  • counter conditioning of reinforced negative behaviors

  • socialization within a balanced pack

Requires a minimum stay of one week (7 nights)

$90.00 per night**

**These are starting rates. Board & Train per night cost is dependent on variables such as age, aggression, fear, type of rehabilitation required, etc.

Pick up is always in the early morning to allow for ample time to go over what has been learned and how to continue to reinforce the behavior at home. Training sessions, behavior conditioning, socialization, and more that occur during the program may be recorded.

*A Board & Train Program must begin within two weeks after the evaluation.
