THE EVALUATION
Your first step towards beginning training or gaining playcare PACK membership
The evaluation is a required one-on-one session with you, your dog(s), and our trainer that will introduce you to the basics of canine behavior, canine psychology, and the ideal canine lifestyle. We'll explain why your dog behaves the way they do and teach you how to master the walk with your dog. We will also show you how to clearly communicate with your dog using intrinsic language that utilizes body language, touch, and sound (not speech). It is vital that we teach our new clients and potential members dog body language, behavior, psychology and the differences between obedience and behavior training prior to beginning a training program.
The evaluation is a minimum of 60 minutes, allowing us ample time to determine your canine's individual needs and get you on track to having a well behaved companion. Our goal is that you will not need to pursue further training as long as you keep in mind canine behavior, psychology, and consistently reaffirm rules, boundaries, and limitations after the evaluation ends. Should continued training be deemed necessary, we will discuss what training services may be best for your dog, your schedule, your budget, your family and you.
The base cost of the evaluation is $125.00, maxing out at $200.00, per dog—dependent on variables such as age, aggression, fear, type of service required, etc.. At this time, we are only scheduling evaluations on Saturday mornings at A.L. Kinsaul Park in Lynn Haven. Due to limited availability and high demand of our evaluation appointments, we require payment to be made within 48 hours of appointment creation in order to confirm the evaluation. If payment is not complete within the 48 hour limit, the appointment will automatically be cancelled to keep our schedule from becoming backlogged. To be eligible for an evaluation, dogs must have proof of up-to-date vaccinations required for their age.
Canine Behavior & Human Training Evaluations (canines must have current core vaccines required for their age): After the structured walk we will demonstrate how to correct negative behaviors, when to reward positive behaviors and discuss any necessary training plans for the future. Membership is not required if additional training is necessary after the evaluation.
Puppy Program/Playcare Membership Evaluations (Boarding and grooming are amenities provided for members only): The Puppy Program & Playcare Membership is temporarily suspended until the completion of our new facility next to Critter Care on E 15th St in Panama City, FL. Our number one priority is the safety and well being of the dogs in our pack. After the structured walk, we will introduce a few of our pack members to analyze how well your dog communicates and socializes within a pack (not just a large quantity of dogs). Please keep in mind completion of the evaluation does not guarantee membership.
If applying for the Puppy Program, please be sure to submit an application prior to picking up your new puppy to ensure enrollment as soon as possible!
Dogs must begin playcare within one week of the evaluation. In order to keep our pack balanced, all members must continue to follow through with the lifestyle changes, rules, boundaries, and training we discuss and demonstrate throughout the evaluation.
When completing your application, please provide us with as much information as possible. Applications submitted with incomplete fields, poor grammar/spelling, and minimal information (less than 3 sentences) will be discarded.
We believe dog “training” is a lifestyle. The time and effort an applicant puts toward the application indicates the time and effort the applicant is willing to put towards their canine companion(s).
For the best experience, we highly recommend completing our application form on a computer.
WE ARE NOW SCHEDULING FOR FEBRUARY
